- Seated-capacity service — when full you cannot board. Bills of ¥2,000+ are not accepted (credit touch payment works). Boards at stop No. 1, domestic terminal 1F.
- The Oito Line between Itoigawa and Minami-Otari runs only a handful of trains a day (midday gaps of nearly 3 hours) — check connections before committing.
