Gala-Yuzawa Station
  • JR East Unreserved seats need no booking; reserved seats via Eki-net. Only Hakutaka services stop at Iiyama Station.
  • Gala-Yuzawa is a temporary station open only from winter through Golden Week; it is built into the resort's Cheers base station, so you walk straight into the ski centre without leaving the building.
  • The Echigo-Yuzawa–Gala-Yuzawa hop is unreserved seating only (flat ¥100 express surcharge). Eki-net online booking / ticketless boarding is restricted for Gala-Yuzawa — plan on paper tickets.
  • If no through train fits your schedule, ride to Echigo-Yuzawa Station (one stop earlier, open year-round) and take the free shuttle bus to GALA — it runs 19 Dec–22 Mar (regular season) and 23 Mar–6 May (spring skiing).
